Our 2008 Annual Fall Seminar !

The Jefferson Proving Ground Heritage Partnership met Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2005,
at the Jennings County Public Library at North Vernon with President Norma Lou
Irwin presiding.

Minutes were approved on a motion by Ken Knouf and Carl Busch. The financial
report was filed for audit.

Officers were elected for the 2005-2006. Irwin was reelected president;
David Lee, vice president; Millie Busch, treasurer; and Marilyn Browning, secretary.

Knouf reported tours had been conducted and that 75 registered for the 10th reunion
of the JPG Closure.

Ron Harsin gave reports on the Old Timbers and St. Magdalene publications.

Both are to be ready by the Oct. 15 seminar. (Barbara Jachimaik, author of the
church books, receives a 10% royalty on each book sold.)

A grant for $500 from the Ripley County Community Foundation was received to
help with the seminar.  Plans for the seminar were finalized.

Items were requested for the booth during the Chautauqua at Madison.

Revision of the long range plan was suggested by HHH RC&D Coordinator
Terry Stephenson. This will be done during the winter.

Stats for the web site show 3,008 hits in September by the meeting date.
There were 5,204 hits in August. This was the highest number since May and February 2005.
